Behind the Veil
Monthly updates, screenshots, and milestone progress as Boba Brewer and Ashen Hand come to life.
Current Status
The Boba Brewer demo is out now on itch.io. It teaches the counter with Mira, runs you through your first days serving regulars, and ends with a teaser for the Neonflow district. The full game is still in development.
The Log
The Boba Brewer demo is now playable on itch.io, with a demo trailer on YouTube. You learn the counter with Mira, build drinks layer by layer for a shop full of regulars, and see how each order's score feeds your pay, your tips and your reputation. The demo ends with a teaser for Neonflow, the next district. It is an early look at the game. Play it and tell us what you think.
A second internal playtest lifted the average order score from 44.5% to 89.6%, with 10 orders served and none missed. The first run exposed a confusing tap label. The second exposed a design question: Fruit Tea pours ice before sugar, unlike the other recipes, so a player following the counter's default order scored 0.50 on layers for every Fruit Tea. We kept the difference on purpose. Now Mira points it out the first time a recipe with an unusual pour order comes up.
The modular DeckSystem plugin powering Ashen Hand's combat has hit a major milestone — enums, structs, interfaces, effect objects, components, data tables, and the save system are all fully built in Blueprints. This reusable architecture means the combat foundation can scale cleanly as new card types and enemy behaviors get added.

Concept Art
WBP_CardReward is in its final pass — the widget that presents players with card choices after combat encounters. Balancing clarity with the dark fantasy aesthetic took several iterations, but the result captures the tone we want every UI moment to carry.

The complete Game Design Document and pitch deck for Ashen Hand are finished, alongside a full concept art prompt library defining the visual language of the world. This gives us a stable foundation to build from as development accelerates into its next phase.
